Now that we are Reconciled…What Else?
By Dr. Annie Smith (An extract from the 2019 Mothers of Nations Camp Meeting)
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” – Ephesians 4:5
“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life”. – Romans 5:10
Our reconciliation with God didn’t come when the seed of God was implanted in us. The Apostle Paul says that were reconciled to God even when we were dead in our sins. Even when you were an enemy of God in your own mind, you were in Christ and already reconciled to Him. The whole world is in Christ; all men have been reconciled to Him although they not all have come to the awareness of their reconciliation with Him.
Just like Mary, we’ve found favor before God to receive His Seed, His Son, in us. By receiving His Seed, we received His powers and His reign. When we were born again, we were impregnated with the Life of God. This incorruptible Seed in us is the Living Word of God and the purpose of it is that at the reception of this Living Word of God, there should be a transfusion of the Spirit and the life of God into our soul that our soul may begin to exalt God above everything else.
Most often, God’s children have a very little knowledge or understanding of the incorruptible Seed of God in them. We need to come to the understanding of the greatness of the nature we have received. Our regeneration is not merely an event among many other events in our lives. The moment we were born again, life was implanted in us. Living from the perception of the Life in us is a choice. The consciousness of this life in you makes you different and even takes away the consciousness of the fallen man and the fallen nature.
Let the incorruptible Seed of God flow through you that you may live from that perspective. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ want to break the barriers of our thinking that we may be able to understand the wonders of the Godhead hidden in us, that we may understand the life of Christ in us. His power is becoming more and more accurate for those who understand His abode in them.
Jesus Christ dwells in you. Our spirits have Christ in His fullness. Our souls need to gain Christ. There is an intensification of the power of God at this time and for us to experience this, we need to be willing to set aside the things that distract and that seem to be important for our personal lives, to discern what is more important, to discern the things that pertain to the Spirit, to discern the mind of God. Availing yourself to the mind of God is not easy in our busy world. But we need to understand that all things derive their source and purpose from the single instant where there is a connection between our mind and the mind of God.
God’s powers are at work in us. There is so much to do and so many lives to save. Our minds need to grasp the reality of the God-Man in us, through us and as us. There is an investment that has taken place in you; there is an intensification of graces. We need to come to the position where we prioritize the things of God and focus on how we can be the ministration of life to others.
