One of the things that have marked me these many years spent giving attentive audience to the message of the man of God and my husband, Dr. Shawn Smith, is identity. The greatest crisis of our generation, and more so the church of God, is an identity crisis.
Destiny flows out of identity. Destiny refers to what God has ordained for you as a woman or a young girl and is as unique as your personality, while identity is Christ who has become your all. Allowing the gospel to redefine what you think about yourself is walking in the power of exchange.
This is why the greatest gift a young girl can give herself is the gift of exchange. The Grace of God gives you the choice to give up who you are or want to be and accept the exchange process for who God says you are and what God says you have become.
The impact a young girl will have on her outward world begins with an inner transformation. This inward transformation is not you trying to change yourself but is accepting what God says about you – It is an outshining of inner glory.
When you walk in the consciousness of who you God says you are, it brings about an impossibility of being subjected to anything other than the purpose of God. The will of God is successive and progressive, as such you must never neglect nor undermine any step in the process of transformation.
The Power of Exchange implies we have to trust God because with God we can never lose and she who is not ready to trust God, is not ready for God’s best. Due to a distorted concept of the love of God inherited from illegitimate religious systems, many young girls and women find it difficult, if not impossible, to trust God with the entirety of their beings. For this to happen you must receive a profound revelation of the love of God.
